Jumping on. .

. . .the bandwagon!  So many of my blog friends are doing awesome giveaways.  I for one have been the winner of 2 of them!  I have an awesome new hat and a great children’s book on it’s way to me!

I got so many positive responses about hanging Cohen’s hanbok on the wall, that I am going to do a give away!

When we were waiting for Cohen’s referral, we called him “baby h.”  I need some help figuring out what we are going to call Cohen’s little brother while we wait for him.  That’s where you come in.  If you leave a comment on this post with a nickname idea, you can be entered to win your very own hanbok holder for your wall – similar to the one in the picture!  I will do a random drawing with my trusty little helper, Cohen on December 12th, which will be our 7 month anniversary as a family.  Now, I understand that some of you do not have hanboks to hang – but don’t fret.  If you win, I will send you a $15 gift card from Target!

If you win the hanbok holder, you can tell me what color you would like it to be painted and the length (cuff to cuff) of your child’s hanbok.  I won’t purchase the components until after I know who wins, so you may have to wait a few weeks for delivery. . . but hey a little patience never hurt anyone.  And all of my AP friends should know a little something about being patient!

And ps, if noone wins the hanbok holder, I will surely do another giveaway!

  1. I think this may be the best give-away prize yet! Seriously, I would love this. As I’m sure all your bloggy friends would :)

So my idea is “CB” for Cohen’s Brother.

  2. great giveaway! How do you hang the pants? pin it to the top?
And Missy…you also won Sunny’s raffle a few months ago…oh yeah, I’m on to you! HA!

Anywho…I love “CB” from Kelly. But I’m gonna suggest “baby illini”

  3. I easily the most creative person around when it comes to names, so I am going to suggest “Little B” after (for brother).
    Creative, I know.

You know I love this hanbok holder idea, right?

  4. as Joanna has shamelessly pointed out, i forgot to mention the 3rd giveaway i won! it was my first win EVER and i was so excited about it! i won a $30 gift card to Target from Sunnymama. ahhh. winning is so sweet! i hope Joanna wins something soon so she will stop harassing me ;) !

  5. Ha Sue…it’s hilarious that you keep winning these giveaways. We’ll see how mine goes on Sunday! ;)

Ok, so I’ve been thinking and thinking about a nickname for Baby #2 and I’m having a hard time. I really like everybody’s guesses so far.

I’m going to go with “Little Sunshine” :)

  6. Love the holder! What a great idea!!!
So, I’m totally lame when it comes to nicknames. Before we got Olive home, we just referred to her as “Baby”. That was it. Neat, huh? So let’s see… you could call him B2 for Baby #2? or just “number 2″ like he’s a character in a James Bond film…

  7. Christine K

I LOVE the hanbok holder! So beautiful. I’m crossing my fingers to win this one! I’m not good with nicknames either. I don’t even really think we had a specific nickname for Joel while we waited…I think we just called him “little one” or something. I’m going to go with something having to do with Korea…how about Little Seoul or Seoul Baby?

  8. I WANT IT! And girl, you’ve won 3 giveaways?! Have you played the lottery yet? Hmmm, as for nicknames, this is tough. I like the simple “Little B” like Cori suggested. Or “munchkin” is always fitting for an adorable Korean babe.

  9. The harassment will never end! On this blog and alllll the others!! LOL

  10. OOOOOOOooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh….. (Can you tell I want to win?!)

Speaking of your wins… you should have your book soon. It took me a little longer to mail it then expected. :-( The holiday threw a wrench in my plans (aka I wasn’t thinking straight)

So. We had no nickname… so this was hard for me. (although I do like everyone else’s response!) I’m going to say 호랑이 (Hoe-rang-ee) which means Tiger in Korean. If I’m doing my math right … that’s the year your child should be born in. Unless they are born before February 14th (New Years/Seollal) in which case they are an ox and this doesn’t work at all.

Hey Seollal and Valentine’s Day are the same day next year!! Cool!

  11. Great idea Sue….we called (and continue to call) Paul our little man…works sometimes shortened to MLM (for my little man).

  12. I have no idea if this is right, but how about something using the Korean word for “two”? Google tells me it is “dul” (pronounced “dhool”). So, “Dulie” or something like that?

  13. What a great give-away…and like everyone else, I’d LOVE LOVE LOVE to win it.

Let’s see…I like Christine’s idea for the nickname (kudos for including the Korean word, Hangeul and all!…impressive!).

I’m going to just suggest “LB” for little brother…since creativity isn’t really flowing for me today.

  14. My only suggestion is our uncreative nickname for Miles: “The Boy.”As in Homer Simpson, when he’s angry at Bart…

  15. Well, the Korean word for second son is “Cha-Nam”. You don’t have to include me in the drawing. I am going to put them all in shadow boxes, but I am waiting until I have 4 hanboks and just do it all at once. Anyway, I thought this is helpful to know even if it is not a nickname.

  16. oh, leave it to christine to get all fancy-schmancy with korean words, hangeul and all!
    i love it.
and i love alison’s suggestion, as well. it’s going to be hard to top that!
why not keep it simple and go with “baby h2?”

  17. First time visiting your blog and I’m VERY excited about your giveaway – what an awesome way to display a hanbok! How about Toki (Korean for bunny) for a nickname?

  18. What a great prize! Would look great with Asher’s Hanbok on it! How about BB… (baby brother) LOL

  19. I vote for “Bud” – but pronounced like Rudy pronounced it on The Cosby show :)

  20. Can I leave another comment here and count that as two entries? Hee hee. Actually, I had to return to the comment section to read everyone’s ideas for a nickname. Good ones!

I still want to win this giveaway SO BAD!

  21. When we were waiting for Nyah, we actually had her name already picked out and told only Haven. He of course couldn’t pronounce it right so when people asked for his sister’s name – they would have NO CLUE what her name would be. It made for a LOT of fun as we would hear him say it and understand but everyone else thought it would be “Anaya, Ayaya, Amia, etc.” – he would always say her name is “A Nyah” so it really threw people off.

FYI – I have been BAD about reading blogs lately – so I am going back and reading all your posts. Can’t wait to see all the cute pictures of Cohen.
